Video - Part of CrossFit’s philosophy is to incorporate gymnastics movements for overall fitness.  These movements help improve proprioception (your body’s awareness in space) and help train the body for unfavorable positions that may occur during life and sport.  The athletes in this video are doing some high level variations, but movements such as squats, pull-ups, handstands, and push-ups are also considered gymnastics movements by CrossFit’s definition.  At FIT we are fortunate to have recently hired Danielle.  Danielle is a personal trainer with an extensive gymnastics background.  She will be able to offer some excellent coaching on some of these techniques.
