Two of our high school weightlifters act like kids after their workout this past weekend. They joined 20 of their teammates/friends in a Saturday afternoon double workout session, followed by a 20-minute game of make-shift lacrosse! There’s nothing like running around with your buddies on a warm central valley evening to remind you of the joy of “play!”

One of the youngest lifters to compete at the Spring Junior Open, hosted up at Sacramento High School. Both he and his brother competed for the first time, setting personal records and getting geared up for their next competition. Check out that look of determination!

A great way to warm-up at FIT KIDS is the agility ladder. Executing some single-legged hops, Riley gets her core temperature up, increases her blood flow to those working muscles, and her mind ready to workout.

Nothing like a little leap frog in-between sets to keep that core body temperature up, mind engaged, and teamwork up! FIT KIDS often engage in some type of “play” activity that emphasizes one or more concepts included in their daily workout. Today, with plyos being a part of the day, a little leap frog for fun and comic relief was well received! Rock on kids!

FIT KID Reed gets to put on his game face and punch me today! He rocked, learning both the jab and cross hits today. Look at that face! Anybody need a bodyguard?
