If you have TiVo record Ultimate Fighter 3. Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock pick teams of dudes to train and fight with the final winner getting a fat contract. Good show with some bad blood between TO and KS. I guess they are fighting again in July. It is worth watching. I think it is on SpikeTv. I am a fan.

...and this is related to the Strongman category because the competitors had to lift heavy objects to high platforms....just like the atlas stones in the World's Strongest Man competitions.
Anyway, I like the show too and am definitely going to try to watch each episode.

I have seen a couple of episodes pretty interesting to see the differant coach tech.
They both was able to bring some people in to help the fighters get ready, KS brought in a bodybuilder to help the fighters with making weight and TO brought in some martial arts fight coaches !!!!!!! See how that works out for them.
Plus this weekend they announced that Royc Graicie is going to fight again in May.

Yeah, that was a strange move by Shamrock. He admitted he is a ankle lock and brawler, not a ju-juitsu guy. Why he did not bring in one, who knows?
I do not like Tito, but Shamrock is pretty old to be fighting....

Tito seems like the better fighter. The pictures of his last fight with shamrock show that he really worked him over.

I was at the fight with Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz and Tito did indeed work him over. Ken later claimed that he had a torn ACL during that fight, but never told anyone because he didn't want to back down and he didn't want to let Tito know that he had a torn ACL. They will likely fight again (after season 3 of the show) and we will see if the outcome is the same. Ken is even older and not as sharp now, but Tito hasn't had many fights in the last few years....and is also older and presumably less sharp.
Bringing in a bodybuilder as an expert seems like it was something Ken decided to do to help out the guys career instead of helping out the fighters. Tito's coaching style seems a lot more appropriate so far.
What this has to do with Strongman??? Maybe I should create another forum for random conversations?

I love watching the UFC events....I'm in for any ppv event I can make. There is an event this Sat. night. I would like to see the Tito vs. Forrest fight sat. Also, I want to see Arlovski demolish the mainiac. I'll be in Sacramento for the weekend so I'll have to see if Rob Ligeti wants to get the ppv.

Tito is most likely out for the Shamrock fight due to a torn ACL. It was announced after his fight last week.

Hopefully they will reschedule the fight or maybe Tito won't need surgery. It's interesting because Ken claimed his ACL was torn when he fought Tito the first time. Now Tito's knee was jacked with he fought Forrest.
Just watched episode 3 of TUF....go team Hawaii....and team tall and lanky.
