Kids have such an easy time squatting, lunging, pulling, jumping etc. The technique seems to be pretty good when they are really young.

The girl in this picture actually has really good climbing technique, manipulating the rope with her feet like a pro. She climbed the rope several times, as if walking through the park. The amazing thing is her upper-body strength -- as you can see in this picture, she is NOT using her feet.
And she's probably also chewing gum at the same time.

She is 10 years old. She has decent overall strength for her build, but the boys are right....she just jams up that rope. The only other thing that I will add is that while doing my thesis study, I've found that a lot of kids do have a naturally easier time squatting (versus adults and/or even adolescents). However, for those who have longer legs (and are still only 9 or 10 years old), they resemble a baby horse who has just discovered they have legs more so than perfect squatting technique. It's interesting how the movement can vary so much from kid to kid.
