Matt Brockhaus

Personal Trainer
Matthew graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a degree in athletic training from the Department of Sports Studies.  While studying, he had the chance to work with a number of Div. I athletic programs, including the 2004 Elite-8 Musketeers.  After graduating, he spent time at the University of Pittsburgh taking part in metabolic testing on professional and amateur cyclists as well as conducting swing analysis on golfers.
Most recently, Matthew comes to FIT after working in Cincinnati as a clinical athletic trainer and high school strength coach.  While there, he acquired a unique perspective and knowledge base in complex knee injuries as well as other orthopaedic and sports injuries.  In his experience, he has worked with individuals as varied as the junior high school athlete and the 82 year old patient with a total shoulder replacement.  His education in athletic training, combined with his passion for human performance and sports has created a unique perspective on training that incorporates wellness, injury prevention, and increased physical capacity.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing soccer, camping and other outdoors activities with his dog Jack, going to concerts and experimenting in the kitchen.
